LEOSITS

Long-Term Data Exploitation for Satellite Image Time Series

 

Research project focused on extracting dynamic scene classes from Sentinel-2 satellite image time series. Developed algorithms that transform multispectral imagery into Change Map Time Series (CMTS), enabling automated identification of geographic areas with similar temporal evolution patterns. The project contributed methods for large-scale monitoring of land-cover and environmental change using remote sensing data. STAR Programme, funded by the Romanian Space Agency (ROSA), 2014–2015. Conducted within the CEOSpaceTech research center, NUST Politehnica Bucharest.

AI4RISK

AI-Powered Risk Assessment Platform

 

Multi-source data fusion platform for predictive risk analysis and real-time situational awareness. Integrates aerial imagery processing, interactive mapping, and explainable AI (XAI) for both strategic planning and live mission coordination. Funded by UEFISCDI (grant PN-IV-P6-6.3-SOL-2024-2-0251), September 2024 – August 2026, within Geosense, Campus Research Institute, NUST Politehnica Bucharest.
